Angelo’s Restaurants & Bakery has been one of the prestigious and oldest places to dine and enjoy pastries & beverages in Shaver Lake. Angelo’s restaurants and bakery was established by Angelo and his wife Giacomina Passalacqua, Angelo in 1939 as West Chestnut Spaghetti Inn. After the death of Angelo in 1953, the business operations were continued by his wife. Her children Silvio and Carmelina assisted until she retired in the year 1958.
The name of the restaurant was changed to Angelo’s in the same year. The Passalacqua siblings, Silvio and Carmelina owned the restaurant in 1963 and while the former became sole proprietor of the business in the year 1981. In the meanwhile, Michael and his sister Tonne joined business to contribute to the family business.
The excellence of 75 years was reflected in the smart practices of this restaurant. Currently, Angelo’s Restaurants and Bakery is being run by Michael Passalacqua, grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Reckas.
Even though, this was a neighbourhood tavern at the time of establishment, yet this family business was transformed in a phenomenal manner when Michael’s father handed its charge to him. Not only did Michael redefined the culture of restaurant, but also, added upscale as well as Italian items to the menu.
