How To Choose The Best Martin Streetmaster

What Is The Purpose Of A Martin Streetmaster Guitar?

The Martin StreetMaster was introduced in 1959 by luthier George Beauchamp. He wanted to create a more affordable version of his popular model guitars. His goal was to produce a guitar with quality materials and construction techniques while maintaining affordability. In doing so he created a guitar that has become known throughout the music industry as "the best value" instrument available today.

How Does The StreetMaster Differ From Its More Expensive Counterparts?

There are many differences between the StreetMaster and its more expensive counterpart. First, the body wood is mahogany which gives the guitar a rich tone. Second, the neck is constructed using rosewood which makes the guitar easier to play. Third, the bridge saddle is made of ebony which produces a smoother sound. Fourth, the frets are made of nickel silver which creates a brighter tone. Fifth, the strings are wound with silk which increases sustain. Sixth, the finish is oil based which protects the wood from moisture and other elements. Finally, the hardware is chrome plated brass which gives the guitar a bright appearance.

Is The StreetMaster Worth Buying?

Yes! If you're looking for a great-sounding guitar that doesn't break the bank, the Martin StreetMaster is worth checking out.

Where Can You Find One?

You can purchase a StreetMaster online at Or, if you prefer, you can visit your local music store and ask them where they sell these instruments.

Doesn't Sound Like Much For Only 299 Dollars

That's because the StreetMaster sounds amazing! It features a solid spruce top, mahogany back & sides, and maple fingerboard. All of these components combine to give the guitar a warm, full sound. Additionally, the steel string tuning machine is easy to adjust and maintain. Lastly, the truss rod adjustment knob is located near the headstock allowing you to quickly tune the guitar.

Can You Play Any Song On It?

Of course! There are hundreds of songs written specifically for the Martin StreetMaster. Some of my favorites include; "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, "Waltz Across Texas, and "Till We Meet Again.

What Are Some Other Uses For The StreetMaster?

Besides playing songs, the StreetMaster is perfect for practicing scales, chords, and arpeggios. It's also a good choice for beginners who are learning how to read sheet music.
